The MeF states that may be affected are AL, AR, CO, ID, IL, IN, KS, MI, MO, OK, & WI

This should only affect locations that are transferring returns to a transmitting computer.

In an effort to speed up the process and not backup deleted returns, we inadvertently stopped backing up the Federal Archive and Decorated e-file associated with the return files being backed up.

Because these items contain the data necessary for the State MeF Packaging of Federal Data, they are not getting inserted into the e-file package that is submitted to the state agency.

A temporary workaround to stop this reject from occurring is once the returns are restored from the non-transmitting computer, re-create the e-files on the transmitting computer prior to transmission to the EFC.

A permanent solution will be addressed in the next TaxWise Update (26.07)
