TaxWise 2012 -- Program Update (27.01)

We will be posting our first program update to the TaxWise Solution Center around 2:00 PM EST.   This is not a required update, but we recommend you download and install the update if you are planning to assign users to the new Preparer Group.

What is the purpose of the update?

• Changing the behavior of the rights associated with the Preparer Group.  The Preparer group is new for TaxWise 2012.  This update further restricts the limitations of this group.  The Preparer group will no longer have access to the Utility Program.  Users assigned to this group will have the ability to prepare returns, run diagnostics and print returns.  They will not have the ability to create electronic files or access the Utility program.
