Updated 6-20-12 at 7am—IRS released a Quick Alert last night to notify that legacy efile is back online.

Quick Alert--Subject:Electronic Management System at Memphis Tennessee Dedicated Filers
The Electronic Management System located in Memphis, Tennessee is now available for dedicated leased line filers.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Updated 6-19-12 at 12:45pm— IRS legacy Kansas City, Fresno & Ogden transmissions

IRS has notified SFS that the transmission issue with the Tennessee Computing Center (Memphis) has been identified.

There is a component of the IRS Gateway that has failed and is being repaired.
Until this is completed, SFS and other vendors cannot submit any returns to the Legacy system.
This has involved returns submitted since late Friday evening.

Once the IRS replaces their componant, we will be able to submit returns and a message will be posted to this site.

Note that MeF transmissions are flowing normally; this outage only affects legacy.
