We momentarily posted US version 10 to the Solution Center and EFC this morning. This automatically kicked off an email notification announcing its availability for download.
US version 10 requires the download and installation of Program Update 26.12 (which is available on the Solution Center as an optional update). We do not want to disrupt your flow of returns by raising the minimum version required to electronically file on the closing days of the e-file season.
How does this affect me if I have already downloaded and installed US version 10? This DOES NOT produce any negative side affects to the tax application or your tax returns. You most likely saw an error dialog box indicating: Error: The operation was successful. However, you will not see the version numbers change in View Authorization or you will see the version number revert to 0 (zero) for the US Module.
(1) Download and install Program Update 26.12 (this is specific to some business requirements for 1041 electronic filing and also support Pennsylvania business e-files)
(2) Navigate to the Utility Program
(3) Uninstall US version 10
(4) Reinstall US version 10
