RESOLVED: NJ Reject 310

NJ has updated their system.  You can now recreate and resend your rejected NJ returns

Scenario:  NJ return is prepared by a VITA site and receiving NJ Reject 310 which states

NJ-1040 PreparerSSN/STIN/PTIN contains Invalid +/or Missing Required Data

Solution:  We have reached out to the state of NJ to see how they are handling e-files with an STIN.  You should hold your NJ returns until we receive further guidance.

Note:  If you are a paid preparer and get this reject, then review the Main Information Sheet and complete all of the entries.
